Double Dummy Corner

Volunteers Needed to Review a Book Draft

I have prepared a first draft of a book provisionally titled A Compendium of Double Dummy Problems.  It comprises all the problems at this website apart from the competition problems (I'm still thinking about those).  Instead of facing up to the task of writing out full solutions for the vast majority of the 921 problems I just give hints.

As yet I don't know if I'm ever going to be able to get the book published in printed form, but the loss of Bridge Magazine's former hosting of a copy of the website made me wonder if the book might provide a way of ensuring my collection's continued existence after the demise of this website (which I don't think can last longer than I do).

The current draft needs to be reviewed, mainly for errors in the hints but of course I would welcome more general comments.

I can send a PDF of this draft to anybody willing to take a share of the reviewing task.  If I get a sufficient response, I'll then divide the book up and give each reviewer a nominated allocation, spread over the DRs.

If you would like to participate, please email me (e.g, by ).
